Each month, Casa Ioana spends Ron 29,000 (€6,450) towards providing safe temporary accommodation and professional support to women and children experiencing domestic violence and family homelessness.
We provide outstanding value for money – it costs Casa Ioana just Ron 19 (€4.25) per day to support each individual in our care.
We receive regular monthly funding to help us to provide our life-saving and life-changing services and we are very grateful to:
Every month, Casa Ioana’s volunteers help in so many ways. Their activities cover all aspects of our work, from face-to-face engagement with our beneficiaries to supporting us in fundraising and in carrying out administrative tasks. Volunteers make a valuable contribution in the way we provide our services.
Casa Ioana relies on donations to provide its life-saving and life-changing services. Donating to Casa Ioana could save a life and will help vulnerable women and children move on with their lives.
Your support will enable Casa Ioana to help more women and children to be safe whilst rebuilding their lives. Please donate today.
You can make an online donation with your credit card or PayPal account simply by using our PayPal donation button on the “Click here to leave this site quickly” bar below. Alternatively, you can make your donation by electronic bank transfer. The suggested donations below are a guide as to how important your donation is and just how much it can help.
If you prefer to donate by post please send your cheque, payable to ‘Asociaţia Casa Ioana’ to: Şoseaua Olteniţei 39-41, Sector 4, Bucharest 041294, Romania
At Casa Ioana, we hold fun days of activities for children, helping them to explore their culture and play in a safe learning environment. Your donation could help them be children again.
Often women are stopped from working by their abusers, or they may have had to leave their job to escape violence and abuse. Others may have lost their jobs when they lost their homes. Your donation could help give women back their independence to find work.
Sometimes women need to escape in a hurry and arrive at Casa Ioana with nothing but the clothes they are wearing. Others may have lost everything when their family was evicted or had possessions stolen whilst living on the streets. Your money could pay for the emergency pack we provide.
A school uniform for their new school and a satchel with books and education equipment will help children to fit in with other children at their new school and help stop them feeling lonely. Your donation could help us to provide a school pack for these children.

Both one-off and monthly donations are crucial in enabling us to continue to provide our services. Nevertheless, in these difficult economic times monthly donations help us to plan in a way no other donation does.

Casa Ioana often opens its doors to older single women who have found themselves homeless because they have been unable to pay their bills and abandoned by their family. Your help will buy the food and other items she needs to help reduce her anxiety.
Women and children experiencing domestic violence need somewhere safe to stay along with professional support to rebuild their lives and be able to move on. Your money will enable a mother and child to be protected and supported as they make this transition.

Do not forget, if you are a Romanian taxpayer you can donate 2% of your income tax to Casa Ioana.
If you pay Romanian income tax, the law gives YOU the opportunity to direct 2% of your income tax towards Casa Ioana’s work to provide safe temporary accommodation and professional support to women and children experiencing domestic violence and social exclusion.
The procedure is easy: you need to complete Form 230. Do not calculate the amount of your 2% tax donation – the Agenţia Naţională de Administrare Fiscală (ANAF) will do that for you. You must deliver the completed form to your local ANAF office by post or in person.
Please send us an email if you decide to help by donating 2% of your income tax – ANAF do not tell us who donates – and we would like to know simply to say thank you!
Why not tell your family and friends about Casa Ioana and ask them if they would like to help by donating their 2% income tax? Your workplace is another place to spread the news. Tell your colleagues about Casa Ioana and ask them for their support.
You can print off as many forms as you need and ask your family, friends and colleagues to complete them. To make it even easier, call us on 021 332 6390 or send us an email to office@casaioana.org and we will send someone round to collect the completed forms and get them to ANAF for you!
The sponsorship law gives your company the opportunity to redirect up to 20% of its profit tax obligation (if it does not exceed 3% of turnover) to Casa Ioana to help in our work in providing safe temporary accommodation and professional support to women experiencing domestic violence and social exclusion. Your donation can be money or goods.
Your company registers a profit of Ron 100,000.
The profit tax due to the state is 100,000*16/100 = Ron 16,000.
The 20% of the profit tax that you can donate is 16,000*20% = Ron 3,200.
The sponsorship is deductible from the tax if it falls within the limits imposed by the fiscal code (does not exceed 3‰ of turnover and 20% of the profit tax)
The procedure simply requires the completion of a sponsorship contract between your company and Casa Ioana. Your accountant will give you more details.
It is an amazing win-win way to help us in our work:
The sponsorship law gives your company the opportunity to redirect 20% of its profit tax directly to Casa Ioana. Click on this link to download a copy of our Sponsorship Contract. The contract must be completed in the Romanian language, although you can download an English language version here.
